Do the Olympic protestors realize that nearly 95% of the things they own are made in China?

My husband and I are looking at items around our house, like clothing, dishes, utensils, electronics, and 9 out of 10 things are made in China! Our Nintendo Wii was made in China! Nintendo is Japanese! My iPod was made in China!


Protesting the Olympics there won't make President Bush stop them, we get our money for oil from the Chinese. If we stopped getting stuff made there, we would not have anything and our gas prices would be 100 x worse than what they are now.


Do those protestors realize their signs, clothes, shoes, iPods, etc. were made in China? I just think if they want to protest China, they should read labels.

Most of them do not even know where Tibet is.
Reply:You make an excellent point, but it would be wasted on these people. Actual sacrifice isn't nearly as keen as mutual back patting with your fellows while hysterically chasing a flame.
