Being Chinese and having family in China, this doesn't surprise me. It's not just toothpaste and pet food. THere's fake medication, soap products with high levels of bacteria etc.
The US government has never banned importing products from China but they've given warnings. They have warned that the only things being imported from China should be clothes, jewelry, purses, sunglasses etc. At least with those no one is going to get hurt.

Back to school clothes???
Can you guys make me outfits for school. im going to eight grade and i can wear anything just not heels. If you guys could add liek shoes and accesories that would be great. the stores i like are hollister, forever21, delias, american eagle, abercrombie and fitch (not abercrombie kids), areopostale, H%26amp;M oh and i love target shoes! they are cheap and soo cute! haha but yeah any store is fine and i hate to liek label myself so all im gunna say is i dress preppish and girly.

For basics, always shop at American Eagle or Aeropostale. They have perfect layering clothing at cheap prices.
For tanks, go for Hollister Co. Their clothes are a lot like A%26amp;F, but about $20 cheaper.
For outwear, check out cute blazers and pleated jackets at Urban Outfitters. They are a bit pricey because of the expensive brands, but they are definitely worth it!

Shipping taking very long, is it lost?
i ordered some shoes on ebay 3 weeks ago, and it was shipped 3 weeks ago using standard flat rate shipping, i looked at the tracking on USPS.com and it says

You may be to quick to blame the seller in this situation.
In your question you state that you have a tracking number for the shoes and that when you check the website it states "Status: Acceptance." It appears that your item was given to the post office, and shipment has been delayed for some reason.
There are a few steps that you should take in order to rectify this situation in a professional manner, before jumping to conclusions and starting unneeded PayPal disputes. The first thing you should do is contact the seller and let them know that you have yet to receive your item. This way you can work together to create a solution to this situation.
As for the insurance, it have been added without your knowledge. Quite a few sellers use the eBay/USPS shipping service which automatically adds insurance to the item. This is another point I would check with the seller on.
The 7-10 days is a rough estimate for the shipping time, and remember that is 7-10 business days. According to your information the item was accepted to the post office as 9:11 Pm August 31st. This was a friday, so the item would not have been sent out at least until monday, except for the fact that this monday was Labour Day, so your item was more that likely process on tuesday September 4th. As I am writing this message it is September 17th which has been 10 business days since the item has been shipping.
The postal service is not an exact science and sometimes items will take longer that the allotted time. So at this point I would contact the seller and let them know your concern, wait a few days for your item to arrive, and if it does arrive by this friday I would suggest contacted USPS.
I would be hesitant to open a dispute with PayPal this quickly because there is a chance that PayPal will rule in favour of the seller and then you will have lost both your item, and your money.
Reply:yeah shipping never takes so long, hopefully you got insurance on it- then you would be able to contact the seller and tell him to give you a refund, or if you dont have insurance on it just send an email to the seller and say that you never received the item and you were wondering what happened. if you really want your money back claim a dispute with paypal and say the seller never sent it. ive personally have a feed back score of 79 on ebay, so i know about buying stuff and i have never once got anything lost in the mail. Help! Creating Clothing Line and Need a Name - Will Pay Winning Name!!!?
Hi everyone! My name is Ubie, I'm 22 (just out of college), and I'm currently trying to come up with a name for a new designer line. I'll be doing shoes, jewelry, and clothing. I already have the suppliers lined up, so all I need to do is come up with a label.
I want to start off on the level of Express, Cache, or Bebe...then eventually get up to high-end designer status like Gucci, Fendi, etc. The clothing will be very fashion forward. I'll probably be inspired by celebrity styles or season "must-haves". For example, for fall- I'll start off with patent leather pumps, peep-toe pumps, leggings, ballet flats, tunic sweater dresses, etc.
If anyone can come up with a name that could carry itself, I am willing to pay you for the name I use. I'll even draw up a contract and everything, so that you know I am legitimate. Please think along the lines of Bebe, Express, The Limited, Cache, Guess, etc.

Adolf Hitler grew up a street waif, had such a fragile ego that he had to control the world to feel in control of himself. People who commit horrendous acts are mentally sick. Is it right to ignore their childhood and label them evil?

I was unaware of the histories of the criminal minds that you have mentioned. I believe that as an adult you have choices to make, and you shouldn't allow your childhood to decide your actions in adulthood. Each person should have enough self-control to over-come the desire to harm another.
However, this question may be better asked in the psychology section. If child abuse can be serious enough to cause further criminal activity that is outside of the control of the criminal, then it would become a societal issue. We all must take an active role in preventing further child abuse.

Fair or not, we expect adults to be responsible for their actions despite the mental/emotional damage that they might struggle with daily. That person could have, and still can, decided to be better than what he would normally have been as merely the product of his past. It takes time and effort to reprogram youself to overcome your past. This is the nature of Grace. Showing forgiveness and compassion even when it has never been shown to you.

I went to school overseas. I'm not familiar with school in the United States. My 4yr old is starting preK at the public school next week and I'm clueless.

They don't exactly require them, it is mostly a precaution so if your child runs out they will have another set.

No, but some brands do tend to be better than others, for crayons, markers and colored pencils I would recommend Crayola and for glue and glue sticks I would recommend Elmers, but for everything else it doesn't really matter what the brand is.

Yes, unless they are an item for the classroom, such as tissues.

I can tell you that all teachers are different, and have different reasons for things like requiring duplicates or certain brands, but it sure makes things easier when parents just go with the flow. Duplicates are probably because it's easier to have a classroom supply of extras for when crayons/markers run out, rather than having to notify individual parents on all different dates when their kids' supplies run out. At the end of the year, my students took home what was left of their supplies if they kept up with them all year (a miracle if they all did). Personally, I always preferred when kids wore sneakers to school, because it's a nightmare getting all the kids out to the playground together at once anyway, without some of them needing to change shoes. However, your child's teacher might not mind, so I'd just ask him/her what their policy is. I never minded parents asking why I did things the way I did, unless they gave me a hard time about the answer. Good luck to your sweetie pie in preschool!

There should be no prada logos on the top of the box and only one at one side of the box which also has the shoe model and price info. The box should be made from corregated plastic and not carboard.
The insole should show the prada logo with "made in Italy" below the logo. The insole should be removable and underneath should show prada at the heel.
If you are buying a pair of dress shoes that have a toggle instead of laces or velcro straps then this should have the prada in text at one side only.

Do you think M.J. is overrated?
He is great and might be the best from the 90s but to say he is the best ever. What about Bird, Magic, West, Bill Russel, Chamberlain, Kareem........I could go on for hours.
Bill got 50 rebounds in a game and got rings in 11 out of 13 seasons with the celtics.
MJ is MJ because of his shoes and commericals.
If any other player got all the hype he got will he become the best player in history. They tried to give that label to Bird but he didn't want it.
And they sometimes talk about MJ as if he invented the game.
He is great but not best.

I think that Jordan is underrated defensively as Jordan is probably the best outside perimeter defender in the history of the NBA with Bill Russell being the best big man as the best inside defender in basketball history.
I think that Jordan was the best player of the 1990s.
Neither was particularly my favorite, but Bill Russell has to be the #1 big man in basketball history while Magic, who I disliked from his college days until his last healthy season in the NBA when I actually started to see how good Magic was as a team player (Russell was a great team player too) instead of holding it against Magic for the college hype and Magic always beating up on the Golden Gophers as Magic has to be the #1 best outside perimeter player in the history of basketball.
Bill Russell has one more NCAA title and a number more NBA rings than does either Jordan or Magic.
1)Russell was 7-1 in playoff series against Chamberlain
2)Russell was 6-0 in playoff series against Elgin Baylor (5-0 with Eglin Baylor and Jerry West as teammates)
3)Russell was 6-0 in playoff series against Jerry West (5-0 with Jerry West and Elgin Baylor as teammates and 1-0 with Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain as teammates)

Russell won 8 straight NBA rings.
Russell's Celtics lost only 2 playoff series in 13 years. Those losses were to Chamberlain's 1967 Philadelphia 76ers often considered to best team in NBA history for several decades to follow, and, also to Bob Pettit (Pettit had the most consecutive First Team All NBA honors along with 2 regular season MVP awards), but Russell dominated Chamberlain and Pettit during all other playoff series with those two Hall of Famers.

It is funny that MJ used to have an advertisement, Nike I think, on how he, MJ, had missed 40 some odd last second shots in key games... the biggest shots I recall in the NBA Finals in Bulls closeout games were made by role players and former Spurs players in Jim Paxson and Steve Kerr both hitting baskets at the buzzer to win Bulls championships. Yeah, okay, MJ got an assist on both of those shots, but it was not MJ who took the last second shot to win a NBA title in those two different NBA championship years for MJ and the Bulls.
MJ is great, but he is not the best ever.
By the way, Russell had to guard a 400 pound Chamberlain, the first NBA player heavy into weight lifting with practically zero body fat, in the era of the NBA rules from 1961 to 2001 which did not allow technically for double teaming or zones and required one on one defense, and, there was no semi-circle under the basket as in the mid and late Shaq era which gave Shaq the right to knock down anyone in his way which already really existed only for Shaq before the 2001 NBA defensive rules change which would allow Shaq to knock anyone over on Shaq's limited offensive moves in his NBA career.
So, yes, Russell had to handle one on one arguably the strongest man ever to play in NBA history who was Wilt Chamberlain. If Russell could handle Chamberlain who had a fairly good offensive game with an excellent mid range shot, then Russell in his prime could have handled Shaq one on one particularly considering Shaq was not as strong as Chamberlain, Shaq did not weigh as much as Chamberlain, and Shaq did not have the offensive skills or moves or jumping ability of Chamberlain.

With due respect to Bill Russell, Kareem, Bird, i have to give the tag of best player ever to Magic Johnson (in my lifetime)! He made everybody around him better. A winner through and through. MVP final four out of college, then followed it with a finals MVP in the pro league. He did not have the points to show but his team scored more than the other. He willed his team to win. He had transformed nobodies to somebodies. Byron Scott was great when he was with the Lakers as he had Magic but went pfft when Magic retired, Kareem played longer as Magic made him enjoy the game and the fans as well, James Worthy scored tons of points because of Magic penchant of finding him whenever he is open. I mean, this guy is selfless. Magic helped Cooper's game tremendously with drills only the two of them can come up with. Everybody listened to Magic when he talked.
I say Magic is the best. If i were a basketball pro, i want to play with Magic on my team. I'm assured of scoring a point when i'm with him on the floor. He'll not take all those shots. He'll give me the ball when I'm open and there is the opportunity to score.

The Lakers won a championship in Magic's rookie season, and the Celtics won the title in Bird's second season. It took Jordan 7 years to win his first.

1980-1991 Lakers- 54+ wins every year
1991 Lakers- 58 wins
1992 Lakers- 43 wins without Magic
1980-88 Celtics- 56+ wins every year

As you can see the Celtics/Lakers were more helped or hurt by whether Bird and Magic were there than the Bulls were with Jordan.
And also "Bill Walton"...Wilt was ,AT WORST, the 3rd best defensive player of his era. You need to check your history before making any more moronic statements like that.
And Russell didn't have to score on the Celtics. He was usually the third scoring option. He was willing to sacrifice his personal glory for the better of his team, unlike Jordan, who wouldn't dream of giving up his scoring titles.

I have a problem with people judging greatness by how many rings they have. Rings do not measure the greatness of Michael Jordan, it measures the greatness of those Bulls basketball teams. So, yes, Russell had to handle one on one arguably the strongest man ever to play in NBA history who was Wilt Chamberlain. If Russell could handle Chamberlain who had a fairly good offensive game with an excellent mid range shot, then Russell in his prime could have handled Shaq one on one particularly considering Shaq was not as strong as Chamberlain, Shaq did not weigh as much as Chamberlain, and Shaq did not have the offensive skills or moves or jumping ability of Chamberlain.

I mean, this guy is selfless. Magic helped Cooper's game tremendously with drills only the two of them can come up with. Everybody listened to Magic when he talked.
I say Magic is the best. If i were a basketball pro, i want to play with Magic on my team. I'm assured of scoring a point when i'm with him on the floor. He'll not take all those shots. He'll give me the ball when I'm open and there is the opportunity to score.
