Help! How to package a thin blanket and the cost of doing so!!?

Okay, I am completely new at this mailing thing. I have to mail a thin fleece kind of blanet to someone. Its probably only one pound. My questions are:





1. How do I package this? Am I allowed to use any shoe box thing at home, or must it be a certified package label?





2. How much will it cost? Do I have to put postage stamps on the box? If so, how many?

I worked for the po. You can use any box you want, but, it should be wrapped in like a brown piece of paper or white. A grocery bag would do fine.Tape it well. As for the cost, You should measure the box and weight it. If you can%26#039;t weigh it guess as close as you can. If you are mailing parcel post (cheapest rate,delivered within 5 days).You can go to www.usps.com click on domestic and fill the information out and it will tell you the cost. You can do the same if you are mailing ups. go to ups.com , I believe parcel post through USPS is the cheapest. Shouldn%26#039;t be too much. Check it out.You don%26#039;t have to put any postage on it, the PO does that.
