Which FIDM program, in your opinion, is right for me?
Hi!

Well I%26#039;m sorry to hear that guy%26#039;s sister had a bad experience at FIDM, but I can tell you from personal experience that FIDM is an awesome school!

I have friends who went to school there and have accomplished a lot since graduating. I think it%26#039;s great that you want to own your own business and sell your own clothing! FIDM%26#039;s bachelors in business management program I think would fit you perfectly. The program is catered for people just like you who want to expand their knowledge of the fashion industry to include the business side of it.

If you want to create your own label and are interested in designing your own clothes and marketing them, I would say majoring in fashion design or merchandise marketing may be a great fit for you.

FIDM has an awesome reputation in the fashion industry which will work wonders in your favor while going to school and when you graduate. They also have connections in networking with past grads of FIDM and other companies who love to hire FIDM grads.

If you haven%26#039;t already, I would talk to an advisor. They are very friendly in answering any questions you may have and can tell you more in depth about the school.

The URL to the school is: www.fidm.edu

Hope this helps :)
Reply:Do not do Merchandise Marketing that is what they pushed for me when I told them I wanted my own business that is just all about being a buyer for other company%26#039;s.... so take Business Management that is the business owner/ entrepreneur...and do all the networking you can because thats a big part of it...good luck!
Reply:simply don%26#039;t go to this school at all. My sister went to this school in SF and she said that the career placement woman was a complete b*tch and had no interest in helping people get careers. Also this school doesn%26#039;t offer a Bachelors degree at all. The only thing they offer is an AA degree which will pretty much guarantee that what ever you want to be just add assistant after it. For example interior design assistant and fashion designer%26#039;s assistant. You need to go to a state funded university or college it will be alot cheaper. Also FIDM may be popular on shows like The Hills but those people are generally wealthier than the rest of us and have no problem paying $20,000+ each semester I think.
