I want to know because I want to start dating or have a girlfriend but this question always bothers me and so I decide to not have one because of this insecurity.
Do you ladies really care for a guy to have these things. ( the things I list I don%26#039;t have that%26#039;s why I want to know)
For a guy to carry a cell phone, have a car, designer label clothing including shoes, have an i pod or an MP3 player, who carries lots of money,
Do you ladies think that from the list I gave above the guys must have to be dateable? I%26#039;m really insecured right now I would like to know what you ladies think. Thanks I appreciate your opinion.
Ladies I need your opinion on this one!!, Do you ladies really care much about materialism in finding love?
NO, I think if you like[love] someone it doesn%26#039;t matter it matters most of whats in your heart. To me those things are just there. I don%26#039;t have designer label stuff! i don%26#039;t have an ipod or mp3 player and i don%26#039;t carry lots of money.. I don%26#039;t think there is anything wrong with sitting home and watching a movie or going for a walke under the stars. and i think that a cell phone only makes you easier to reach and the only reason i have one is because i am girl and i need one[my mom].. I think as long as your a nice guy and who has a heart you can be dateable. You sound sweet! I don%26#039;t see why you don%26#039;t have a girlfriend.. Good luck and hey don%26#039;t be so insecure.. your nice, sweet, and sound like and easy going guy that really cares. If you need a friend here is my yahoo messanger okay i am here 24/7 andreslilbaby

Reply:you know what? i don%26#039;t. when i like a guy, i never asked him wether he has all those things. i like him coz i see something in him, period. maybe his looks, his smile, his eyes, his character. .. but never his ipod, cellphone, etc. don%26#039;t be insecure. go out there.have fun.
Reply:Most women date a guy because he%26#039;s got a great personality, good character, and their personalities click. If all you%26#039;re meeting is materialistic girls, you need to look somewhere else.
Reply:cell ph, car/bike and of course some money...but on top of all this brainy/ studious/ intelligent and good looking.
Reply:caring about materialism varies age to age. in my age i would date someone who can give me a stable life, earns lots of money.
Reply:If I were interested in you I wouldn%26#039;t care what you %26quot;owned%26quot;,I am not materilistic as some women are..I look for more character traits than what a guy has or doesn%26#039;t have for that matter..Once you find a woman who will care for you just because your you,the things you own are trivial..be patient, she is out there..=)
Reply:Well I guess there might well be some women ( and men) who are shallow enough to judge someone by the things that they possess. However to have a really meaningful relationship it%26#039;s much more important that they like the person you are on the inside and vice versa. Someone can have all those things you mentioned and be a real jerk; would you really like them as much as the person that had none of those things but treated you with respect? I think the answer is clear on that one, surely?
Reply:personally i don%26#039;t date guys who put that much effort into having that stuff, it takes away from being a real person. you become your possessions. so no it ruins a perfectly good man.
Reply:Well, I%26#039;m not a gal, but I%26#039;d like to post if you will.
For long-lasting love, money is not a concern unless the couple is living together and independently. True love is usually based on their love for each other and not their financial assets.
I do have a cellphone, I don%26#039;t have a car, I don%26#039;t wear designer clothing (but I do have some sort of fashion sense), I don%26#039;t have an ipod, and I carry some money.
Your list could be important to some and not too important to those who already have an eye on you. Good luck! I hope you find the right one.
